Ford Maverick Switch Panel

Ford Maverick Switch Panel

SKU: 0301

Put that useless cubby panel next to your infotainment screen to use with the new Maverick Switch Panel! This panel securely snaps into the cubby, and provides four switches which you can then wire to whatever accessories you choose (you will need to drill a hole in the back of your cubby to run wires). Choose from red, blue, amber, green, or white for each of your switch LED colors, select between momentary and latching switch styles, and customize the text for each switch however you like (along with the upper-right and lower-left elements). You can use this panel to control anything that makes use of a simple switch, from Driving Lights, to bed lights, to Air Compressors, to Active exhaust, to Subwoofers, to Air Horns, to Underglow, to... anything else you want to control power to! (See further details below)

Due to the complexity of this product, I've created THIS ORDER FORM which you must complete once you've submitted your order. I will then email you a proof of the faceplate for your approval before creating your panel.

  • Note: Switch panels are made-to-order, and may take up to six weeks to ship.

The switch panel chassis is comprised of two parts, both 3D printed in black PETG. The black, anodized aluminum faceplate is cut on a CNC, and then engraved with a Fiber Laser. complete with laser-engraved text. The push-button switches are SPST, ON/OFF style (latching or momentary based on your selection), and are rated for 12V/5A. The switches have an LED-illuminated ring, each in the color of your choosing (red, blue, amber, green, or white.)

The switch panel will arrive FULLY assembled.

Each of your four switches can be labeled with the primary and secondary text of your choosing. Due to the complexity of this switch panel, once you have placed your order, you MUST complete THIS ORDER FORM in order to submit your customization requests. I will not be able to process your order until this is done.

It is up to the end user to determine wiring for the panel, as each use case is different. A common recommendation is to drill a hole in the lower right back corner of the cubby to run wires, as that makes them accessible from behind the glove box. For that reason, the panel includes a notch on the back lower section to accomodate this. Installation of the panel itself is simple: remove the rubber liner inside the cubby, do whatever wiring you need to do, connect the wires to the switches, then slide the switch panel into place, and press VERY firmly at the top and bottom until the bottom tab snaps into place. This may require some force at the bottom, but this is intentional to ensure it remains snug and doesn't wobble around. To remove the panel, you will need to unscrew the two allen bolts on the front of the panel to separate the faceplate section from the back mount. Then push firmly down on the plastic trim at the bottom just ahead of where the notch is, in order to bend it down enough for the back mount to pop loose (you might need to simultaneously pull up on the back mount from the bottom.)

Four wire harnesses are included with this panel. Each switch has its own harness. Wiring is going to be different for each person depending on what they are wiring, and how they are doing it, so that is left up to you to do. Each switch has 5 terminals: NC, NO, C, LED(+), LED(-). You can use these terminals (or the wire leads coming out of the harness, if you choose to use them) to configure the switches to operate in different ways. You don't always use ALL 5 leads). For example, the LEDs can be on ALL the time, or only when the switch is activated. A guide is included with your order to help you in this regard.

This seems like a simple part, and it more-or-less is, but there are a lot of steps involved in making and assembling it. These take time to ship simply because this is a side project I do in my spare time, and my free time is limited, what with work, and autocross, and having a life and all that! The reality is they will probably ship sooner, but I don’t like to over-promise on how quickly folks will receive it. You will receive a tracking number when I ship though!
